The St. Lucie West Centennial High School Band, under the direction of Mr. Matthew Schabowsky, is a rapidly growing band program in Port St. Lucie, FL.
The Eagle Band is comprised of the following groups: The Eagle Regiment (Marching Band), Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Percussion Ensembles, and Color Guard. The marching band has earned consistent superior ratings at the district level, and superior ratings at the state and district levels for the Symphonic and Jazz Bands.
Our Mission Statement:
“The St. Lucie West Centennial Band strives to educate and transform students into the leaders of tomorrow through music. Young musicians are engaged in demanding and fulfilling musical experiences of the highest level, and thereby learn first-hand the concepts of teamwork, organization, commitment, and leadership. Students will develop a broadened appreciation for a diverse range of music, and will be able to apply musical knowledge both as musicians and informed consumers of music. Most importantly, students will benefit from the “band family” as they share their pride, determination, and meaningful experiences together as one.”
